A systematic presentation of the works of academician I.M. Makarov and his scientific school in the field of fundamental and applied management problems is given. On the basis of nonlinear models of representation of time-pulse systems, methods for studying dissipativity and periodic motions have been developed, original approaches to improving the quality of systems with variable structure have been proposed.
