Algorithms. Introductory course
This book was written by a recognized authority in the field of computer algorithms — Professor of computer science Thomas Cormen, whose work Algorithms: Construction and Analysis, co-authored with such outstanding scientists as Charles Leiserson, Ronald Rivest and Clifford Stein, after three editions, has long become a universally recognized classic textbook on algorithms. Since the book Algorithms: Construction and Analysis is intended primarily for undergraduates and graduate students, that is, it implies a fairly serious mathematical training, i.e. Kormen wrote a book intended for everyone who is interested in issues related to computer algorithms, but basic education, and simply lack of time do not allow you to undertake serious work of more than 1300 pages. With all the simplicity and ease of presentation, this book, like everything that came from the pen of T. Kormen, is distinguished by accuracy, a wide range of issues covered, and depth of presentation. The main intended reader of this book is a young man wondering whether he should engage in this area of human activity or not. But in any case, knowledge is never superfluous, so even if you eventually realize that algorithms are not your purpose, your time will not be wasted anyway, because algorithms surround us everywhere, and computer algorithms are just their kind.
