The yearbook contains articles and materials on Russian history, archaeography, archival studies, source studies, historiography, special historical disciplines from the Middle Ages to the present day. Articles are published about the "archival revolution" in Russia in the 1990s, about the activities of the Commission for the Study of the Great Patriotic War, about the methodological problems of studying mass historical sources about the peasant reform of 1861, about the scientific projects of M.V. Lomonosov on the historical and geographical study of Russia, on the problems of source studies in the study of the Chronicle of the Facial Code of Ivan the Terrible, etc. Much attention is paid to the scientific and epistolary heritage of outstanding Russian historians (P.M.
