For the first time in the legal literature, the publication analyzes the modern legislation of Russia on expertise. The expert examinations regulated by the regulatory legal acts of the Russian Federation are presented in a systematic form; the legal mechanisms for implementing the requirements of the legislation on the production of expert examinations are disclosed; the possibilities of using expert examinations in the criminal proceedings of Russia are considered. The handbook contains lists of state and other organizations, scientific institutions (by fields of science, technology, fields of activity), in which various types of examinations (studies) are carried out, and can also be carried out by order of an investigator, inquirer or court ruling.
