The yearbook contains articles by Russian scholars covering a wide range of problems in Russian and foreign history. The yearbook opens with the heading "70 Years of the Great Victory", in which the issues of Soviet military planning on the eve of the Great Patriotic War and relations between the USSR and its allies in the anti-Hitler coalition are revealed. The column "100th Anniversary of the First World War" was made up of articles covering the most important aspects of the rear of the Russian army: interethnic relations, food procurement for the army, the work of railway transport.
