Istoriya filosofii prava. Posobiya k lekciyam
Nikolai Mikhailovich Korkunov (1853-1904) was a Russian legal scholar, lawyer, and philosopher of law, whose lectures had a decisive influence on Russian thinkers of state and law and on the legal consciousness of the Russian intelligentsia in general. This edition publishes Korkunov's manual, on which he relied in his lectures, which were a resounding success in the second half of the XIX century. Starting the story of the history of the philosophy of law with the teachings of the ancient Greeks (sophists, Socrates, Plato and Aristotle), he brings it to positivism and utilitarianism – contemporary philosophical and legal systems. This manual does not lose its significance today, remaining a monument of Russian legal and political thought, not inferior to the best pages of B.N. Chicherin and I.A. Ilyin. Published by: Korkunov N.M. History of Philosophy of Law. A manual for lectures. 6th edition of St. Petersburg, 1915
