For the first time in the Russian literature, the monograph comprehensively examines the most relevant international legal problems of fishing. The concept, principles and content of international legal fisheries management, features and significance of the international legal fight against illegal, unreported and unregulated fishing, problems of international legal fisheries management in closed and semi-closed seas, problems of regulating the work of crew members of fishing vessels, etc. are considered. The international treaties regulating relations related to fishing at the universal, regional and bilateral levels, as well as acts of a recommendatory nature, are analyzed. The legislation of the Russian Federation and other states regulating relations related to fisheries management is studied. The activities of universal and regional international organizations on fisheries management, as well as bilateral intergovernmental commissions, are considered in detail. Recommendations and suggestions for improving the international legal management of fisheries and the national legislation of the Russian Federation are given. The legislation is given as of March 1, 2017. The monograph is intended for practitioners of the fishing industry, teachers, graduate students and university students, students of other educational institutions, researchers, legal practitioners, as well as all those interested in international maritime fishing law.
