In the proposed edition, the eternal and at the same time very urgent problem of the relationship between morality and law is posed and solved in a peculiar way. It is shown that it essentially permeates any branch of law, requiring constant and purposeful attention, primarily with the task of developing and improving the law itself and society as a whole. Various ethical ideas and concepts, their features and influence on the search for an adequate solution are considered in a targeted manner. The author positions the point of view according to which, in modern conditions, the steady movement from V.S. Solovyov's classical concept ("law is a minimum of morality") to a consistent, differentially weighted maximization of morality in law is salutary and promising. Special attention is paid to the ideological, axiological, ethical and other philosophical foundations of legal science and practice. This work can be used as a textbook (fully complies with the new standards of higher education in the field of "Jurisprudence") for undergraduate and graduate students, graduate students of law faculties and universities, and may also be of interest to anyone interested in ethics and law in their relationship, including teachers.
