The Soviet system of state awards, the current state of the system of state awards of the Russian Federation, the prospects for its development are considered. The author's suggestions for further improvement of this system are presented. The monograph can be used as an additional educational material for studying the relevant sections of the courses of constitutional law, the history of the state and law, as well as special courses dealing with the issues of the system of state awards of the country.
