The mathematical foundations of the theory of measures of possibility and necessity as alternatives to probability, likelihood and confidence as the basis of the mathematical formalism of subjective modeling, integration with respect to these measures are considered, their empirical interpretation is given, mathematical methods and algorithms for the empirical recovery of measures and integrals, their connection with probability and with mathematical expectation, etc. As applications, the following methods have been studied: optimization of decisions, identification, estimation, forecasting, subjective modeling and interpretation of measurement experiment data, modeling of uncertainty and improbable randomness inherent in subjective judgments and expert opinions, subjective modeling in problems of morphological analysis of images, etc. The book is intended for students and graduate students of physical, mathematical and technical specialties, researchers of mathematical modeling as an information technology for obtaining new knowledge.
