It is a synthetic presentation of the ideas underlying law as one of the components of European culture. The main intention of the author is to present law in the form in which it developed in Europe, in its organic connection with the common European culture, to describe law as a universal social subsystem that equally successfully produces certain similar forms and institutions both at the level of national states, and at the international level, and at the level of transnational entities.
