The monograph highlights the main aspects of land law in force in African countries, the laws of customary land ownership, customary rights to water, forest, grazing, hunting, the influence of the colonial era on the systems of customary land ownership, the rights of African women to land. The characteristics of land and water rights under Islamic law are given.
