The new Amazon PaperWhite 2021 is being released from November 2021. The reader received a 6.8-inch display with a resolution of 300 PPI. The snow-white paper-like screen does not glare, and looks like a real paper page even in the bright sun. The built-in backlight, which is provided by 17 LEDs, has a color temperature adjustment from cold white to warm yellow or amber tones.
Amazon PaperWhite 2021 is made in a modern design, the frames around the screen have become thinner, the thickness of the reader is only 8.1 mm. The case of the device is protected from moisture according to the IPX8 standard: you can take an e-book with you to the beach or read in the bathroom without fear of damage by splashing water.
Thanks to the modern processor, the PaperWhite 2021 performance has increased by about 20% compared to the previous model. The amount of internal memory is 32 GB. There is a Wi-Fi module for wireless transmission of books, Bluetooth for listening to audiobooks and a USB Type-C interface for fast charging. The battery has become more powerful and provides up to 10 weeks of battery life.
Signature Edition is a PaperWhite 2021 version with 32 GB without ads and with the possibility of wireless charging (not included and purchased separately).
