Tape for sealing threaded connections from the Unipak company is a non-adhesive tape made of polytetrafluoroethylene, better known as Teflon.
The density of the product (g/cm³) determines the quality of the tape. The higher the diffusion density, the better the product, i.e. its use is more effective and economical.
Teflon tapes Unitape, Miditape, Maxitape, Jumbotape, Maxitape and P.T.F.E.:
resistant to chemicals, except fluoride, some fluoride compounds and molten alkali metals;
non-flammable, not subject to aging, have good dielectric properties;
resistant to vibrations and ultraviolet rays;
have high tensile strength and a very low coefficient of friction.
