KENWOOD KAC-PS702EX Car Amplifier
The KENWOOD KAC-PS702EX car amplifier works in the AB class. Non-standard circuit solutions made it possible to obtain a significant increase in sound quality.
The upper limit of the reproducible frequency range extends up to 50 K. Hz, which is usually typical only for expensive amplifiers. The 2-channel model is equipped with a low-pass filter (LPF) with a steepness of 18 db / octave and a fixed frequency of 80 Hz. In addition to the line inputs (RCA), the model is equipped with high-level inputs with an automatic switch-on system based on the presence of a signal. This allows the use of amplifiers with many standard head units without unnecessary interference in the standard wiring. A convenient housing with a one-sided layout of connectors - more opportunities for neat installation. The layout of the interior space with the maximum possible dilution of the low-signal and power parts made it possible to significantly increase the signal-to-noise ratio (more than 100 db) and positively affected the sound quality. Compared to the previous generation of amplifiers, some models of the PS series have increased the power potential of power supplies. This was reflected primarily on the dynamic properties of the amplifiers and the sound quality and at the same time allowed to increase the rated power. The Kenwood KAC-PS702EX model is a two–channel amplifier that can be used both to work on any car speaker systems and to work on a subwoofer in a bridge connection. At the same time, the rated (RMS) power is quite enough to work with any subwoofers that have a not very heavy mobile system and 2-inch sound coils. This condition is met by most entry–level subwoofers, but if the task is to get as high-quality and legible bass as possible, the ideal choice will be the Kenwood PS - KFC-PS3016W and KFC-PS2516W series subwoofers.
